Louis William Tomlinson, born on 24 December 1991 (age 21), is from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. He has five younger half-sisters, together they have an early acting history. Louis attended an acting school in Barnsley. Louis revealed that landing the lead role of Danny Zuko in his school's musical production of Grease motivated him to audition for The X Factor in 2010. Louis auditioned with “Hey There Delilah”, with 3 votes out of 3 judges present at his audition he was sent to bootcamp. At bootcamp, he sang “Make You Feel My Love” before being rejected and put into One Direction which Louis is a member of including bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik. One Direction finished 3rd place in the competition. Today, they're an international success by the power of social media, their two albums Up All Night (2011) and Take Me Home (2012), broke several records, topped the charts of most major markets, and generated hit singles, including "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Live While We're Young".

One Direction have released the official artwork for their Comic Relief single ‘One Way Or Another.’
One Direction have become the latest musicians to take part with the annual Comic Relief single, with the heartthrobs covering Blondie’s ‘One Way Or Another’ for Red Nose Day.
It has been confirmed that the lads will be performing the single at this year’s BRIT Awards in February, which will be their first live TV performance of the track.

The hot UK band One Direction have just announced their brand new single will be called Heartbreaker.This song is off of their second album which is set to be released on November 27th. The boys are currently still in the studios busy recording for their yet to be titled album. But the group is quite anxious to spread the news of their music. Niall Horan went to Twitter to let fans know “Recording one of the songs we wrote today! Excited!”. While the new album is expected to be issued later this year or early in 2013, One Direction have revealed details of the project’s first single. One Direction is writing most of their own material they also have several artists lending a hand such as Ed Sheeran who is gaining some buzz surrounding his album ‘+’.
