‘Take Me Home’ Album Available Now

One Direction’s new album, ‘Take Me Home‘ is now out!! It actually came out yesterday, but I did not have time to post about it. Anyway, make sure you order or go out and buy the new album to support the boys. Check out a video below of 1D revealing their favorite tracks on the album:

The day that Directioners have been waiting for is finally here! One Direction’s sophomore album Take Me Home is in stores, and fans can finally listen to the album that the fivesome have spent months working on.

Take Me Home is an assortment of pop candy that shows off the group’s growth since coming in third place during the 2010 season of the “X Factor” in the U.K. Each member seems to have an equal amount of solo opportunities, but their voices blend over melodic harmonies and big beats, with each song taking on a unique sound.

MTV News recently caught up with the boy band, who will appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday, and each member broke down their favorite track off Take Me Home.

If for some reason you could not watch the video, find out Louis’ favorite song of the album below:

Louis Tomlinson: “Back for You”
“I’m gonna go ‘Back for You’ because we did a lot of writing on that,” Tomlinson said. “And that was fun.”

This up-tempo track mixes in rock with pop as the boys daydream about their girlfriends at home while they are on the road. The lyrics are fun and will definitely be a huge hit with the Directioners as they sing along during the 2013 world tour.

One Direction Prep For ‘First Time’ At VMAs In MTV Special!

One Direction are set to perform at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards for the very first time, and we’re celebrating the VMA virgins with the brand-new MTV special “One Direction: My First Time.”

The special is set to air Thursday, August 30, at 11 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. The guys of 1D will host the special, which will not only feature their preparations for the big show, but also the most memorable VMA performances of all time.

“One Direction: My First Time” will include appearances from fellow 2012 performers Pink, Green Day and Taylor Swift, who will recall their own first times taking the VMA stage with never-before-heard tales. The VMA vets will offer up some choice wisdom to the One Direction guys, who will take the stage themselves Thursday, September 6, when the show goes live from Staples Center in Los Angeles. They are also up for two Moonmen: Best New Artist and Best Pop Video for their “What Makes You Beautiful” clip.

One Direction want to go big for their first appearance on the VMAs. “It’s quite nerve-racking, because obviously there’s been so many historical moments and stuff that have happened at the VMAs,” 1D’s Liam Payne told MTV News earlier this summer. “Now we want to make a moment ourselves, but who knows?

“I think performing at the VMAs is such a huge occasion,” Payne added. “I think it ranks up there with one of the best performances we’ll do so far.”

The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Head toVMA.MTV.com now through August 24 to vote for your favorites, or text BNA to 22444 (message and data rates may apply) to vote for Best New Artist all the way through the show!

One Direction are currently writing and recording their forthcoming second album.

One Direction are Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. All of the group hail from the U.K., save for Horan, who is from Ireland. All five of the boys (ages 18-20) auditioned for the UK X Factor in 2010 as solo artists. However, at the suggestion of Simon Cowell they joined forces as a group, quickly becoming one of the competition’s most popular acts of all time, finishing in the final three and garnering a gigantic fan-base along the way.

Louis and the boys get a £2m payday!

Looks like the boys each just got their payday from Uncle Simon worth of 2 million euros each. Congrats, boys!

Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles have apparently been handed £2m each by record label boss Simon Cowell following their worldwide success.

“Simon Cowell wants them to know what they deserve. They have been a massive success, what they have achieved is phenomenal. Simon thinks they are the hardest-working people in pop at the moment,” a source told The People.

“They have made him an absolute fortune and he is incredibly proud. He always saw potential in them and now it’s paying off. Girls across the globe simply love them.”

Last week the boys celebrated some more good news as their debut single, What Makes You Beautiful, has racked up more than a million sales stateside.

Their album Up All Night is still at the number one position, too, after debuting in the top slot.
